Board Meetings

The Kaslo & District Public Library Association is governed by a volunteer board of trustees consisting of 5 to 9 members. Terms are for 2 years for a maximum service of 8 consecutive years.

Responsibilities of the board include: setting strategic direction and policies, hiring and evaluating the Library Director, approving the annual budget, securing funding, and preparing annual financial statements. The board operates under the provisions of the Library Act of British Columbia.

The board meets 9 times per year at 4:00 pm on the third Monday of each month or as posted below excluding July, August, and December. Meetings that fall on Statutory holidays will be held the following Monday. Meetings are open to the public.

Board Minutes

Next meeting date is Monday March 10 after the AGM (5:00 pm). Everyone is welcome to attend.

Annual General Meetings: March 10, 2025 at 5 pm

Typically held the second week of March, and will be announced on the Library website home page. Everyone is welcome to attend. All adult members of the association (library card holders) are eligible to vote and/or be nominated for a trustee position at the AGM. Orientation and training is provided for new trustees.
